Residents living in the Urta Chirchiq and Quyi Chirchiq districts of Tashkent region, where the international airport of New Tashkent is to be built, will be relocated. Compensation will be provided for residential houses and buildings located within the boundaries of affected farmland.
The Urta Chirchiq district administration reported that a meeting was held with local residents and heads of farming enterprises to discuss the matter.
“As part of the organizational measures related to the construction of the new airport, district governor I. Qosimov met with residents of the Khalkobod neighborhood and heads of local farming enterprises. During the meeting, detailed explanations were given regarding compensation for residential houses and buildings situated on farmland, as well as the procedures for its payment,” the report stated.

As a reminder, the construction of Tashkent’s new international airport was launched on 15 October 2025 by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with an international consortium comprising Saudi company Vision Invest, Japan’s Sojitz Corporation, and South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Corporation. The project includes four stages, with the first phase – worth $2.5 billion – involving the construction of a passenger terminal and an airfield.
