Starlink partners with Veon to expand satellite connectivity across Central and South Asia
Elon Musk’s company Starlink has signed an agreement with the international telecommunications group Veon, which owns the Beeline brand in Uzbekistan.
Under the agreement, Starlink’s satellite internet service will be integrated into Veon’s mobile networks, enabling users to connect directly to satellites without relying on cellular towers.
In the initial phase, the technology will be rolled out in Kazakhstan and Ukraine, followed later by other Veon markets, including Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
The exact timeline for the project’s launch has not yet been specified.
