Tax Committee releases 10-month tax data for key industries

The State Tax Committee has released data on how much tax construction firms and manufacturing companies paid over the first ten months of the year.

From January to October, 30,893 legal entities engaged in construction activities paid more than UZS 7.1 trillion in taxes. Of this amount, over UZS 1.1 trillion, or 16.5 percent, came from the top 20 companies.

Their total turnover exceeded UZS 20.7 trillion, while the tax incentives they used amounted to UZS 410.8 billion, accounting for 18 percent of all incentives granted.

Tax payments by category were as follows:

  • Value-added tax (VAT) – UZS 548.3 billion
  • Personal income tax (withheld from employees) – UZS 212.2 billion
  • Social tax – UZS 200.6 billion
  • Corporate profit tax – UZS 187.1 billion
  • Other taxes – UZS 31 billion

During the same period, 60,525 legal entities operating in manufacturing paid more than UZS 76.2 trillion in taxes. A substantial share, UZS 15.9 trillion, also came from the top 20 companies.

Their turnover reached UZS 183.9 trillion, and the value of the tax incentives they used exceeded UZS 2.1 trillion, representing 5.8 percent of all incentives granted to businesses in the sector.

Manufacturers collectively paid UZS 4.9 trillion in VAT, UZS 4 trillion in excise tax, and UZS 2.2 trillion in corporate profit tax.
