Turkish company plans to invest $4 billion in Samarkand’s development projects

On December 12, regional governor Adiz Boboev held negotiations with the company’s delegation. The visitors stated that the company is considering becoming a key partner in the implementation of several major investment projects.

Arimatik signaled its readiness to invest $4 billion in the region in stages. The company highlighted its particular interest in taking part in the construction of the Shirin residential district in Samarkand.

Boboev, together with the leadership of the Shirin project directorate, presented information about the planned architectural design and infrastructure of the future township. The delegation was also briefed on the conditions and procedures for purchasing land within the area. The parties agreed to continue work on the project after the final concept of the township is approved.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to build the new Shirin township in Samarkand during a session of the regional council in late November. The project envisions multi-story housing for 180,000 residents and a new administrative complex for 49 government institutions.
