Shavkat Mirziyoyev departs for Japan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for Japan on an official visit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
According to the program, President Mirziyoyev is expected to hold talks in Tokyo with Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, as well as senior officials from the parliament and government, representatives of political parties, and rectors of leading universities.
The discussions will focus on further strengthening the Uzbekistan–Japan strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation, expanding trade and economic ties, and deepening investment and technological collaboration.
The president is also set to attend the first summit of heads of state of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue. Related events are planned alongside meetings with representatives of Japanese business circles.
