A court has ordered compensation for material damage to 16 citizens affected by the actions of construction companies.
The Tashkent region office of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection has received complaints from citizens regarding several construction companies, the committee’s press service reported.
According to the complaints, despite buyers making payments on time in accordance with housing purchase agreements, certain business entities failed to fulfill their obligations to hand over apartments within the stipulated deadlines.
Based on the complaints received, lawsuits were filed with the courts seeking to recover funds in favor of 32 consumers totaling more than UZS 11 billion.
As a result, court rulings were issued against Glamur Gold LLC, Transport Free Group, Lucky Technical, Broccoli Plus, and NUR, ordering the return of UZS 6.7 billion to 16 consumers.
Court proceedings to restore the violated rights of the remaining consumers are currently ongoing.
