President Mirziyoyev visits Special Operations Forces base in Tashkent region, assesses combat readiness
President of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Special Operations Forces training ground in Tashkent region.
According to the presidential press service, on the initiative of the president, comprehensive modernization efforts have been carried out in recent years at all field training grounds, military units, and institutions of the Ministry of Defense, bringing them into line with international standards.
As part of these efforts, a new Special Operations Forces training ground was established, taking into account international experience and modern trends in troop training, with the aim of ensuring the effective preparation of special units. This facility became a logical continuation of the ongoing reforms.

The report notes that the training ground’s facilities have been equipped with all the necessary conditions to improve the combat skills of personnel, organize training exercises effectively, and enhance their moral and psychological resilience.
During the visit, the head of state familiarized himself with new methods for organizing combat and special training exercises and observed the active phase of drills being conducted by Armed Forces units.
The exercises demonstrated the combat capabilities of units from different branches of the military, the level of coordination in their joint actions, as well as new digital systems for command and control of troops and weapons.

In addition, effective methods for using unmanned aerial vehicles in various combat operations were showcased, along with coordinated joint actions by artillery, aviation, air defense, and ground forces in the execution of different training and combat tasks.
Special attention was paid to assessing the ability of junior commanders to make independent decisions using modern digital technologies, their command and control skills, as well as the professional proficiency of service members in effectively employing modern weapons and equipment on the battlefield under rapidly changing combat conditions.

At the conclusion of the exercises, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief gave a high assessment of the level of readiness of the units and the degree of cohesion achieved in their joint operations.
According to the press service, during a conversation with the Armed Forces command staff, the president emphasized that amid today’s increasingly volatile global security environment, further strengthening the capacity of the Armed Forces, ensuring unity between the people and the army, and educating young people in a spirit of patriotism must form the core of ongoing military reforms.
