Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspects air defense systems at Surkhandarya military unit

During his trip to Surkhandarya region, the president inspected a military unit equipped with facilities designed to ensure effective combat training for servicemen.

The unit includes training buildings, a canteen, dormitories, rooms dedicated to spirituality and education, and a sports complex. All facilities are fitted with modern equipment and technology to support daily service and professional development.

The president familiarized himself with the conditions created at the unit, as well as with military hardware and weapons systems, including advanced air defense complexes.

Mirziyoyev stressed that when defining priority areas for the development of the national army, it is essential to take into account the characteristics of modern armed conflicts, existing security threats and the specific features of potential theaters of military operations.

He issued a number of instructions to responsible officials to ensure the consistent implementation of measures aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Armed Forces, strengthening their material and technical base, and improving the combat readiness of personnel.
