Uzbekistan ranks second in Turkey’s foreign brides statistics

Data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute show that Uzbek women accounted for 13.7 percent of all foreign brides in the country last year. In total, 3,925 Uzbek women married Turkish nationals in 2025.

Syrian women topped the list, representing 13.8 percent of foreign brides. Moroccan women also featured among the top three, accounting for 9.6 percent of marriages to Turkish citizens.

The latest figures mark a shift from 2023, when Uzbekistan ranked first in the same category. That year, Syria and Azerbaijan were also among the top three countries of origin for foreign brides in Turkey.
