Samarkand region to receive UZS 11 trillion to drive economic growth
During a high-level meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Narpay district, the government announced a massive financial package aimed at the comprehensive socio-economic development of Samarkand region. A total of UZS 11 trillion from various sources will be directed to the province to bolster infrastructure and public welfare.

The president emphasized that the region must transform into a national benchmark for excellence in addressing unemployment, poverty reduction, investment attraction, and export growth.
A significant portion of the funding is earmarked for the modernization of local communities. The president announced that $100 million has been allocated specifically to improve the infrastructure of neighborhoods across Samarkand region.
Furthermore, Urgut district will receive a dedicated injection of an additional $50 million. These funds are intended to ensure that basic services and living conditions meet modern standards.
To stimulate the regional economy, the state is making substantial credit resources available to the business community. Entrepreneurs in Samarkand will have access to an additional UZS 18 trillion in credit resources. This move is designed to create new jobs and expand the industrial and service potential of the region.
"We have set even higher goals to increase the power and potential of our Motherland, and to improve the life of every family and every person," President Mirziyoyev stated. He noted that while past efforts were sufficient for their time, the rapidly evolving demands of the country require more effective and proactive measures today.
The head of state underlined that the volume of these funds is unprecedented, surpassing any previous allocations to the region. The primary objective of this financial strategy is to achieve a tangible reduction in poverty and unemployment through sustainable economic growth.
The meeting concluded with a call for officials to ensure the transparent and efficient use of these resources to ensure they reach every household in the region.
