The defendant, identified as D.K., was found guilty of making death threats and hooliganism after entering a shop late on October 22, 2025, and striking a female vendor, Sh.N., on the head with the butt of a rifle. He then climbed over the counter and inflicted further injuries.

D.K. and the victim were previously acquainted. Prosecutors said he threatened to kill her during the incident.

In court, D.K. partially admitted guilt but said he had not intended to kill the woman. He testified that he had planned to marry her and had sent money while working in Russia to help buy a home, but later demanded it back.

He added that on the day of the incident, he took a hunting rifle and two rounds of ammunition from home, initially intending to shoot stray dogs. After calling the woman to ask whether she had returned his belongings, he went to her workplace without leaving the weapon behind. When an argument broke out, he struck her once with the rifle.

The victim confirmed that D.K. had sent her money, saying part of it had been taken by his acquaintance and the rest spent over time. She said their relationship had deteriorated and that he had repeatedly threatened to kill her, adding that she had informed his relatives.

In a ruling dated April 1, 2026, a district court found D.K. guilty under Article 112 (threat of murder or violence) and Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to four years and three months in prison, to be served in a settlement colony.
