Legislative Chamber approves Eldor Odilov as Health Minister
Eldor Odilov has been appointed as the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, following a reshuffle in the ministry’s leadership. The appointment was confirmed following the departure of Asilbek Khudoyorov, who had been leading the ministry since January 2024.
According to the presidential press service, Asilbek Khudoyorov was relieved of his duties as the Minister of Health due to his transfer to another position. During his tenure, which lasted over two years, he oversaw various reforms within the national healthcare system.
The newly appointed minister, Eldor Odilov, previously served as a department head within the Department of Legal Expertise and Complex Analysis at the Presidential Administration. His transition to the cabinet comes after his candidacy was reviewed and approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
Details regarding Asilbek Khudoyorov’s new appointment have not yet been disclosed.
