Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) confirmed the incident, saying it occurred on April 5 at around 6:15 a.m. local time.
The blaze broke out in the engine compartment of a BelAZ-75131 dump truck assigned to Transport Workshop No. 3, AMMC said, adding that the cause was a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
No injuries were reported, and the fire was quickly extinguished by the site’s volunteer fire brigade.
