Malaysian ambassador to Uzbekistan concludes his diplomatic mission
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Uzbekistan, Ilham Tuah Illias, is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with the departing ambassador to review his tenure and discuss bilateral relations. During the talks, both parties highlighted the dynamic growth in political dialogue, trade and economic relations, and investment cooperation over recent years. They also noted expanding ties in the fields of education, tourism, and culture.
Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s active contribution to strengthening the partnership between Uzbekistan and Malaysia. The foreign minister wished the diplomat success in his future endeavors and all the best in his career ahead.

Ilham Tuah Illias has been leading the Malaysian diplomatic mission in Tashkent since July 2023.
