President Mirziyoyev arrives in St. Petersburg for high-level talks and nuclear project launch
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev landed at Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg on June 4, starting a packed working visit focused on high-level diplomacy and a landmark energy project.
Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov were on the tarmac to welcome the Uzbek leader alongside other local officials.

The main event on day one is a sit-down with Vladimir Putin Thursday evening. The two leaders are expected to discuss the current state of bilateral relations and strengthen trade and investment ties across several key sectors.
The biggest moment of the trip will see Mirziyoyev take part in a ceremony to officially kick off construction on Uzbekistan’s first integrated nuclear power plant reactor – a massive infrastructure project that marks a turning point for the country's energy sector.
On June 5, the president will pivot to the global stage, attending the main sessions of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) to discuss international trade, foreign investment, and green development.
