President Mirziyoyev honors Azerbaijan's outgoing ambassador with Mehnat Shuhrati order
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Huseyn Guliyev, as he concludes his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, the president noted the ambassador’s personal contributions to developing and strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries. Over his tenure, ties between Tashkent and Baku have expanded significantly across multiple sectors.
To honor his substantial efforts in deepening the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, Huseyn Guliyev was awarded the Mehnat Shuhrati (Glory of Labor) order.

The ambassador expressed his deep gratitude to the president for the high recognition of his diplomatic work. He thanked the Uzbek leadership for the comprehensive support provided throughout his mission, which helped facilitate broad-scale collaborative projects between the two brotherly states.
Huseyn Guliyev had been leading the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan for nearly 14 years, having assumed his role in October 2012.
