The data also show that children under the age of five remain the country's largest age group, highlighting Uzbekistan's relatively young population.

There are 4.6 million children below the age of five, followed by 3.86 million people aged 5–9, 3.41 million aged 10–14, and 3.16 million aged 15–19.

Among young adults, 2.66 million people are aged 20–24, while 2.65 million fall into the 25–29 age group.

The largest segments of the adult population are those aged 30–34, numbering 3.17 million, and 35–39, with 3.09 million people.

The figures then decline with age. Uzbekistan has 2.69 million residents aged 40–44, 2.24 million aged 45–49, 1.91 million aged 50–54, and 1.65 million aged 55–59.

The 60–64 age group includes 1.47 million people, while 1.17 million are aged 65–69. The population falls to 669,000 among those aged 70–74, 343,000 for the 75–79 group, and 130,000 for people aged 80–84.

According to the preliminary census results, 168,900 residents are 85 years of age or older. Women account for the majority of that group, numbering 86,800.

The data also reveal a clear demographic shift by gender across age groups. Men outnumber women in every category below the age of 40. In the 40–44 age group, the numbers are almost equal, while women become the majority from the age of 45 onward.
