The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a farewell meeting with Huterer on Tuesday and thanked him for his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.

In a post on his Telegram channel, Saidov said the two sides noted that during Huterer's tenure, Uzbekistan and Germany had successfully organized high-level meetings, strengthened cooperation between their foreign ministries, and elevated their multifaceted partnership to a new level.

"We held a farewell meeting with His Excellency Manfred Huterer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Uzbekistan, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country," Saidov wrote. "We particularly noted that during his tenure as ambassador, high-level meetings were successfully organized, close dialogue between the foreign ministries of our two countries was strengthened, and our multifaceted partnership reached a qualitatively new level."

The foreign minister also expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his contribution to the development of Uzbek-German relations and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Huterer presented his credentials to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on September 20, 2024. He succeeded Tilo Klinner, who served as Germany's ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2021 to 2024.
