Uzbekistan’s airports report 14% growth in passenger traffic over ten months
Tashkent Airport accounts for nearly two-thirds of all passengers and flights. Samarkand and Urgench airports round out the top three.

Uzbekistan’s airports have significantly increased passenger traffic, the number of serviced flights and cargo volumes since the beginning of the year, the Uzbekistan Airports press service reported.
Over the first 10 months, passenger traffic exceeded 12.68 million people, 14% more than in the same period of 2024. Of this total, 10.38 million passengers travelled on international routes, while the remaining 2.29 million flew on domestic flights.
From January to October, the country’s international airports handled 105,570 flights, a 13% increase, including 30,340 domestic flights and 75,220 international flights.
In total, 78,450 tons of cargo and mail were processed, up 12% compared to last year.
Tashkent International Airport recorded the highest passenger traffic, serving 8.22 million passengers (+15%) and 65,720 flights (+16%).
The capital’s airport accounts for 64.8% of total passenger traffic and 62.2% of all flights in Uzbekistan.
Samarkand Airport ranked second with 1.26 million passengers (+9%) and 10,000 flights (+9%). Urgench Airport placed third with 709,900 passengers (+21%) and 5,396 flights (+17%). The top five also included Namangan Airport (686,700 passengers and 4,614 flights) and Fergana Airport (557,720 and 4,986).
