Prolonged inversions may increase dust and smoke levels in Uzbekistan
A cold anticyclone is expected to remain over Uzbekistan until 5 December, with further strengthening anticipated from 29 November. This will lead to lower temperatures, morning fog, and prolonged inversion events.

According to meteorological data, the influence of the cold anticyclone will persist across Uzbekistan until 5 December.
Starting 29 November, as the anticyclone intensifies, atmospheric pressure is expected to rise, temperatures will drop, nights will be cold, and daytime weather will remain mildly warm.
Morning fog, characteristic of cold anticyclones, may also occur during this period.
The influence of the high-pressure area is forecast to continue for the next 10 days.
Earlier, the UzHydromet had indicated that inversion events would last until 29 November. However, updated meteorological analyses show that, amid the ongoing cold anticyclone, inversion events are likely to continue longer than initially expected.
Prolonged inversions may increase the concentration of dust, smoke, and fine particles in the air, and lead to more frequent dense fog occurrences.
It is noted that the data in the presented infographics after 28 November are of a forecast nature.
