Chief Coach of the Uzbekistan national team Héctor Cúper has announced the list of players participating in the 2019 China Cup, hosted by the Chinese city Nanning on March 21-25, Tribuna.uz correspondent reports.
According to the decision of the tournament organizers, on March 22, Uzbekistan will face Uruguay at the semi-finals. Prior to that, the hosting Chinese national team will play against Thailand.
The third place and playoff matches will be held on March 25.
It should be noted that China Cup has been held for the past two years. Chile, Iceland, Croatia and China participated in the 2017 tournament, where Chile became an award winner. In 2018, Uruguay, Wales, the Czech Republic and China took part in the Cup, Uruguay won the trophy. Both previous tournaments were held in Nanning.
Earlier, it was reported that Uruguay coach Óscar Tabárez announced the list of players attending the tournament in Nanning.
