A delegation headed by Deputy Assistant Secretary for Technical Assistance Policy at the US Department of the Treasury William Larry McDonald will visit Uzbekistan from 11 to 17 June, “Khalk suzi” reports.
Earlier, during the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiev in the US Treasury in April this year, the US side praised the dynamics of transformations affecting almost all socio-economic aspects, and expressed readiness to support efforts to further promote economic reforms in Uzbekistan.
During his visit to Uzbekistan, William Larry McDonald intends to discuss the prospects for attracting on a long-term basis highly qualified consultants of the US Treasury to improve fiscal policy, public debt and investment management in Uzbekistan, improve the efficiency of the budget process, strengthen the banking sector, and counter economic crimes.
According to the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in the United States, meetings are scheduled at the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the State Tax Committee, the Central Bank, the Agency for the Development of the Capital Market, and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
