Investment potential of Uzbekistan presented in Romania

Bucharest hosted a presentation on the economic and investment potential of our country. The theme of this event was the "Business cooperation with Uzbekistan: opportunities for the Romanian companies".

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Chamber of Commerce of the country, the business community, as well as journalists attended the event, which was widely covered in the Romanian media.

Speakers of the presentation marked significant trade-economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan. The participants of the event were acquainted with the macroeconomic indicators of the country, the course of ongoing social and economic reforms, favorable conditions for the development of small business and private entrepreneurship. Particular attention was paid to the increasing opportunities, established in the country special industrial zones, the implementation of long-term projects with the use of an effective system of privileges and preferences for foreign investors.

It was stressed that the availability of highly qualified human resources, rich raw material resources, developed industrial base and industrial infrastructure as well as convenient geographical location at the crossroads of transport corridors of Europe and Asia allow foreign companies to consider Uzbekistan as a country in which it is profitable to invest.

The participants of the presentation received information materials about the social and economic achievements of the country, a favorable investment and business climate. Along with this, a special video dedicated to modern economic development was demonstrated.     

Moreover, representatives of Romania expressed the view that Uzbekistan, which is located in the heart of the Central Asian region, rich in raw material and intellectual resources, represent high interest.

As a result of the presentation, representatives of several Romanian companies expressed interest in establishing cooperation in the areas of alternative energy, production and processing of agricultural products, construction, furniture manufacturing, recycling and others.
