Shavkat Mirziyoev awarded Alisher Usmanov with “El-yurt hurmati” order

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Russian businessman Alisher Usmonov with “El-yurt hurmati” (“Respected by people and homeland”) order. Presidential Decree “On Awarding A.Usmanov with “El-yurt hurmati”” order was signed.

 “For his unprecedented services in strengthening economic, social and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Russia, for his significant contribution to the successful implementation of large investment projects in our country, for his active involvement in reconstruction and restoration of objects that bear religious and cultural significance for people of Uzbekistan, for his sincere love to the country that can serve as a model for youngsters and for his assistance in developing the tourism potential and sports of our country the founder and leader of the USM Holdings Ltd, Usmanov Alisher Burkhanovich, will be awarded with “El-yrut hurmati” order,” says the document text reported by UzA.

Alisher Usmanov, a native of Uzbekistan, has been implementing fundamental projects in Uzbekistan in recent years. In particular, Alisher Usmanov is planning to allocate $ 100 million in 2018 for the construction and restoration of culturally significant objects in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. He will also finance the construction of the Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent. Besides, Alisher Usmonov is going to invest $ 100 million in the football club of “Pakhtakor” as its sponsor.
