Uzbekistan, Belarus signed agreement on cooperation in higher education
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Education of Belarus signed an agreement on cooperation in higher education on September 12 in Tashkent.
Within the framework of the agreement, the parties will promote development of cooperation in the field of higher education and, for this purpose, encourage contacts between higher educational institutions.
It should be noted that there is positive dynamics in attracting Uzbek students to the Republic of Belarus for education. In the 2017/2018 academic year the number of Uzbek students studying in Belarus amounted to 87 people.
In September this year, Days of Belarusian Education will be held in Uzbekistan, during which the opening ceremony of the Belarusian-Uzbek Center for Education and Culture is to be organized. This center will be established on the basis of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizamiy.
Furthermore, it is expected that agreements will be signed between the leading universities of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
