The opportunity will be extended to students enrolled in secondary and specialized secondary vocational education programs at technical colleges, the Agency for Vocational Education said.
The program will cover trips to European Union member states, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. A loan scheme will be introduced to help students cover travel and other related expenses.
The resolution also provides for technical college student records to be maintained in the EMIS RT vocational education management system. The database will include information on each college’s name, address and code, as well as students’ fields of study, education level, mode of study, enrollment status and grades.
The Migration Agency will be responsible for securing cooperation agreements with foreign employers under the Work and Travel programs. It is expected to take steps to sign these agreements by March 1 each year.
