Ulugbek Lapasov handed over his Credentials to the Director-General of United Nations Office at Geneva
Ulugbek Lapasov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations, presented his credentials to Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office in Switzerland.
During the ceremony, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the United Nations.
Particularly, Mr. Møller was informed about large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and the implementation of the “Strategy of action on the five priority areas in the development of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021”.
The UN representative praised extensive reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at further development of the national economy and enhancement of people’s well-being, as well as Uzbekistan’s daunt steps for strengthening cooperation with UN agencies and other international organizations.
