Senators approved 100 % advance payment for water supply

Senators of the Oliy Majlis approved the law on introducing changes and additions to Article 134 (the deadline for paying for the maintenance of property in an apartment building and making mandatory payments for utilities) of the Housing Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in compliance with  Presidential Decree No. UP-5241 “On measures for cardinal improvement of payment of water charges”.

These changes envisage 100 % prepayment for water and wastewater services (sewage) in public and private buildings.

In case of not making full prepayment for water supply and wastewater services (sewage), the owners of public or private houses will be completely disconnected from water supply and sewage systems.
