The proposal, put forward by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, would raise the daily heating charge in Tashkent to UZS 314 per square meter of heated floor space and the price of metered hot water to UZS 11,607 per cubic meter.

The draft also proposes new tariffs for heat supply companies across Karakalpakstan and all regions of Uzbekistan.

The ministry says the changes take into account a presidential decree issued on March 11, 2025, which calls for reduced household heating tariffs to be gradually brought into line with the actual cost of providing the service by 2030. The proposal also reflects increases in fuel and energy prices that took effect on June 1, 2026.
