First snowfall of the season in Uzbekistan

The first snow of the season fell in the mountainous areas of Zaamin district, Jizakkh region on Oct. 7, social network users report.

Also, on the morning of Oct. 8, Facebook users in Kashkadarya posted photos of the first snowfall in the region.

According to some eyewitnesses, Kamchik pass was also covered in snow on Monday morning.

Earlier, the Centre of Hydrometeorological Service at Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet) reported that the first snowfall of the season is expected in Uzbekistan's mountainous areas on 9-10 October.
