A mother kills 5-year-old son in Andijan

In Izboskan district of Andijan region, a tragic incident occurred - a mother thrashed her young son savagely with a stick which resulted in his death later on, Kun.uz correspondent said.

"On October 16, a woman, resident of Izboskan district, decided to rehabilitate her son with a wooden stick. She whipped him several times, as a result, a 5-year-old child was hospitalized. Despite the attempts to save his live, the boy died in hospital", the Interior Ministry said.

The mother is detained and a criminal case has been initiated against her.

Investigative measures are being taken.
