Zokir Rakhimov is sentenced to 17 years’ imprisonment

On November 1, 2018, the trial against Zokir Rakhimov, participant of terrorist attacks in Tashkent, including the attempted assassination on the first president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, was held at Navoi regional criminal court, Kun.uz correspondent reported referring to the hearing of the court.

Zokir Rakhimov was found guilty in accordance with the particular Parts and Paragraphs of the Articles 155, 159, 242(2), 223 and 244 of the Criminal code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

He was sentenced to 17 years’ imprisonment. The penalty will be served in general colonies.
