Uzbekistan ranked 27th in the list of countries with the most cyber-attacks
In the past ten months of 2018, 36.9% of Internet users in Uzbekistan experienced cyber-attacks, Kun.uz correspondent reported referring to the statistics of “Kaspersky Lab”.
In compliance with this indicator, Uzbekistan ranks 27th worldwide. By local threats - malware that is spread via removable device - hard drives, USB flash drives and suchlike, 69,8% of users were attacked and this is the 13th place in the world.
It is worth noting that such threats do not lead to direct financial damage, but significantly reduce the performance and speed of the infected device. In general, nowadays, the number of cyber threats to the user has increased by 700 times in comparison to 2006. The entire number of attacks is also growing - there were more than a billion across the world in 2017.
The experts of “Kaspersky Lab” for protection against cyber-attacks recommend the following basic rules:
• do not follow dubious links from emails, messages in instant messengers or SMS;
• install regularly updates for the operating system and applications;
• install applications only from official stores;
• use complex and different passwords for all accounts;
• copy important data regularly from your device to the cloud, to a USB flash drive or hard disk;
• do not allow applications to access to those functions that they do not need and install a reliable security solution, including on mobile devices.
