Canon Medical Systems to supply “Uzmedimpeks” with direct shipment of medical equipment

With the support of the National Agency for Project Management under the President, a meeting was organized between representatives of Canon Medical Systems and the State unitary enterprise “Uzmedimpeks”.

During the meeting, issues of equipping medical institutions with modern technologies, localization of the production of medical equipment, improving the qualification and knowledge of medical personnel and others were discussed.

The main result of the negotiations was an agreement on the supply of modern technologies used in the healthcare system directly from the manufacturer. Also, it was agreed to provide Uzbekistan with the equipment for opening a professional service center of the company to repair and maintain technologies purchased. Previously, supplies of equipment manufactured by Canon Medical Systems were carried out through mediator organizations.

In order to put the plans into practice, Canon Medical Systems and “Uzmedimpeks” signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement defines the legal bases and interaction mechanisms in the planned directions of cooperation.

Canon Medical Systems was established over 100 years ago in Japan. Being one of the world leaders in the field of diagnostic equipment for medical screening, the company was the first to introduce a wide range of products, including MRI, spiral CT and apparatus for integrated MR-diagnostics - Canon Vantage Elan 1.5 T.
