Russian Tatneft may create a joint venture to develop oil and gas industry in Uzbekistan
The Russian company Tatneft and Uzbekneftegaz are considering the possibility of creating a joint venture to develop oil and gas sector in Uzbekistan, the message from the Uzbek company suggests.
“Today, of particular interest to the parties is development of the field, including the investment block near Tashkent, with the creation of a joint venture in Uzbekistan in the future,” the report said.
The companies are also discussing the localization of the production of chain drives at the Uzbekkhimmash plant together with the Tatneft Bugulma mechanical factory.
In addition, the Uzbek side offered Tatneft to take part in the operation of the Fergana refinery and expressed willingness to consider mutually beneficial forms of cooperation.
“Representatives of the foreign company showed interest in participating in the project and organizing joint visits to the production sites of the plant,” the press service of Uzbekneftegaz stated.
