Ministry of Interior revealed eight crimes in a day
On December 21, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan uncovered eight crimes, the press service of the Ministry reports.
“As a result of the conducted search activities, on December 21, 2018, 1 citizen was found who went missing and 14 persons, those were hiding from court and investigation for the crimes committed previously, were detained,” the report stated.
Earlier, the Ministry also proposed to toughen the punishment for one of the common crimes - leaving in danger. Developers consider that it is necessary to change the measure of restraint from two to three years of correctional labor, if the victim survived, but was mutilated.
In case, the crime entailed numerous victims, the punishment could be up to seven years’ imprisonment.
Moreover, the Ministry proposes to introduce a new article in the administrative code on road hooliganism, it will envisage heavy fines.
