Tashkent TV Tower shines with multi-color illumination (video)

The famous Tashkent TV Tower was for the first time fully decorated with multi-color illumination, which will now delight guests and residents of the capital, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

The TV tower was decorated with complex illumination imitating a starry sky or a circular motion around its axis. Golden-fiery tones give it a special magic showing its beauty in the limelight.

For information, the Tashkent Television Tower was commissioned in 1985. Today, in addition to being the tallest freestanding structure in Central Asia, it provides direct transmission of television programs within a radius of approximately 100 km. The unique design of the tower was developed by Soviet architects Nikolai Terziev-Tsarukov, Yuri Semashko, as well as engineers Yevgeny Morozov and Mikhail Musheev.

It was built taking into account the seismic conditions of the region and is capable of withstanding a nine-point earthquake. Its stability is ensured by three cone-shaped supports, each 93 meters high. The lobby of the tower is decorated with mosaic panels in Florentine and Roman style, which was created by master Abdumalik Bukharbayev.
