Almaty is recognized as the most comfortable city to live in Central Asia. No way for Tashkent
In compliance with the Quality of Life Index 2019 compiled by the Numbeo research service, only Almaty from Central Asia is included in the list of 226 best cities of the world.
The rating is based on several criterion including cost of living, pollution index, property prices, quality of life, health care, traffic index, crime rate and travel expenses (taxi fare, petrol price).
The first place in the ranking was taken by Canberra (Australia). The second place was awarded to Eindhoven (the Netherlands) and the third to - Raleigh (North Carolina, USA).
The top ten include Adelaide (Australia), Zurich (Switzerland), Madison (Wisconsin, USA), Brisbane (Australia), Wellington (New Zealand), Columbus (Ohio, USA) and Charlotte (North Carolina, USA).
No Uzbek city, even Tashkent is not on the list.
