New cotton variety “Niyat” is invented in Uzbekistan 

As a result of the scientific research carried out by scientists-breeders of the Academy “Mamun” in Uzbekistan, a new cotton variety “Niyat” was created.

According to the press service of the Agency for Intellectual Property, the technological indicators of this type of fiber are analyzed at the laboratory of the unitary enterprise “Service center of the agrarian-industrial complex” under the Inspectorate for the Control of the agrarian-industrial complex and ensuring food security at the General Prosecutor's Office.

The laboratory was delivered samples of new fiber variety grown in 2018. The fiber samples of the new cotton variety were tested by using the HVI system and showed excellent quality indicators.

Studies have shown that the quality of new variety of fibers in all parameters meets the requirements of agrarian-industrial production. It was decided to start cultivating a new variety in the pilot mode in some areas of Khorezm region this year.

The press service stated that scientists have received an appropriate patent for the new plant variety.
