Uzbekistan to introduce an “investment visa”

In accordance with the presidential decree, starting from March 1, 2019, “investment visa” will be introduced.

Founders of enterprises with foreign investments and members of their families for a period of three years with the possibility of extending its term will be able to receive a visa, which is called an “investment visa”.

Citizens of foreign countries, including the founders (participants) of enterprises with foreign investments who have invested in organizing enterprises for the production of goods and services in the amount of not less than $3 million in Uzbekistan, are issued a simplified residence permit in the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of 10 years.

Foreign investors who have a residence permit in Uzbekistan or an “investment visa”, as well as their family members, are now entitled to use medical and educational services under the conditions stipulated for citizens of the republic.

Temporary registration of foreign investors, attracted specialists from among foreign citizens and their family members should be carried out in the places (regions, towns) in whose territory the investment project is being implemented.
