Uzbekistan, Afghanistan to co-op in building materials production

The first Uzbekistan – Afghanistan business forum, dedicated to bilateral cooperation in building materials production, was held at the JSC Uzqurilishmateriallari.

The event was attended by major construction companies of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. Delivering a speech at the forum, Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzqurilishmateriallari Botir Zaripov noted that mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries plays an important role in development of building materials production and other areas.

It should be reminded that Uzbekistan adopted a Program of measures for development of construction industry for 2017-2020. Based on the tasks defined in it, JSC Uzqurilishmateriallari takes comprehensive measures to deeply process local raw materials, increase production and expand the range of competitive building materials.

Today, the system of JSC Uzqurilishmateriallari includes enterprises for production and processing of natural stones, cement and binder materials, building glass, ceramic products, other building and decorative materials, as well as a specialized design research and survey institute and geological exploration organizations.

Exhibition of building materials produced in Uzbekistan was organized within the framework of the event.
