467 drivers detained in a day for not paying fines on time in Tashkent
In one day, traffic inspectors of Tashkent city have caught 467 drivers who did not pay fines for traffic offenses, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
It should be remembered that in Tashkent on January 30, a campaign was launched to identify drivers who evade paying fines.
“For the first day of the event, 467 debtor drivers were stopped on the roads of Tashkent. Of which 389 paid the fines simultaneously at the nearest branch of the bank (more than 71,5 million soums), 26 vehicles have been placed on the penalty parking”, the police department reported.
According to the law, in the case of non-payment of a fine for violating traffic rules that is fixed by special automated technical means of photo and video recording, after 60 days have passed from the date of a fine imposition, the vehicle is detained until the clearance of the imposed fine.
For information, existence of traffic offences can be checked by sending an SMS request to the number 8860 in the format of the State number plate of the vehicle space series + registration number of the vehicle (for example: 01A123AA AAC1234567). One incoming SMS costs 210 soums. The service is available for UMS, Ucell, Uzmobile and Beeline subscribers.
