Poaching activities discovered on the water reservoir “Kuksu” in Karakalpakstan

On January 28, employees of the Inspectorate for Ecology and Environmental Protection detained 10 people illegally fishing in the water reservoir “Kuksu” in Karakalpakstan, Kun.uz correspondent reported referring to the press service of the State Ecology Committee.

Upon detaining the lawbreakers, inspectors found 10 kg of silver carp and 130 kg of grass carp with them. The amount of damage to aquatic biological resource amounted to 303,5 million soums.

Documents on the revealed violations were forwarded to the prosecuting authorities.
