The Scientific-Methodological Publishing Center “Ukituvchi” will be organized at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, the Agency said.
The publishing-printing creative house “Ukituvchi” at the agency is divided into two structures: a printing house and a publishing house. In turn, a Scientific-Methodological Publishing Center will be created on the basis of the publishing house.
The purpose of creating the Scientific-Methodical Publishing Center is to develop new generation textbooks that contribute to effective mastery of necessary knowledge in full and ensure strict adherence to the system of continuing education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Pre-School Education, the Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
“The center will include a group of scientists, qualified teachers with many years of practical experience, as well as highly professional editors and proofreaders. They will be provided with all necessary conditions for development of innovative textbooks of the new generation that meet requirements of the time,” the general director of the agency Komil Allamjonov noted.
The scientific-methodical publishing center “Ukituvchi” will be responsible for developing proposals for improving the quality of content and internal design of textbooks and teaching aids, introducing modern world practices in this area, as well as for preparing, if necessary, changes and additions to state standards and sanitary standards.
At the moment, the agency is working on a complete revision of the procedure for preparing school textbooks in order to radically improve their quality.
