American Epsilon to build steel plant in Angren FEZ

Epsilon Development Company (USA), together with Oberhofer Projektmanagement GmbH (Austria), established Steel Innovation Systems for the construction of a plant for metal zinc plating and production of metal structures in the Angren FEZ, the press service of the American company told Kun.uz.

At the moment, work is being carried out on collection of baseline data and coordination of the technical conditions of the project. It is expected that the capacity of the enterprise will be 50 thousand tons of steel per year, and the volume of potential investments - more than 100 million euros.

The plant will produce metal structures for the car building industry and the automotive industry (including engine production), bridges, power transmission pylons, production workshops, high-rise buildings, etc.

“Modern, high-performance and world-class manufacturing facilities for metalwork processing and corrosion protection can satisfy a large number of national and foreign customers. The construction of the plant will allow to increase the export potential and help attract advanced European technologies to Uzbekistan,” the company said.

Epsilon Development Company began this year the exploration and production of natural gas in five investment blocks of the republic. The company has already received an industrial gas inflow at two wells of the Talimarjan field (Kashkadarya region). The declared volume of investments in all blocks is about 5.2 billion dollars.
