Tourism activities in Uzbekistan to be conducted upon obtaining certifying licenses
A regular session of the Council of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis was held.
In the agenda of the meeting, it was proposed to consider the draft law on amendments and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On tourism” in the second reading. This draft law was conceptually adopted in the first reading at the meeting of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis on October 9, 2018.
The draft law envisages that tourism enterprises providing the organization of tourism activities – tour operators, travel agencies, excursion organizations and tourism firms, are allowee to carry out such activities only on the basis of a license. This will allow all individuals and legal entities, who are intending to organize tourism activities, to operate freely under this license in the legal order.
