Uzbekistan intends to participate in Eastern Economic Forum-2019

Uzbekistan will be waiting for an invitation from the Russian side to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum-2019, Rustam Ismailov, head of the republic's consulate general in Vladivostok, told RIA Novosti.

On March 1, the first consulate general of Uzbekistan in the Far East opened in Vladivostok. It became the fifth in Russia along with diplomatic missions in Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg. Uzbekistan is expected to open consulate generals in Kazan and Rostov-on-Don this year.

“This (the participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan - ed.) Depends on the host country. We will be waiting for an invitation. Usually, in the course of the invitation, they voice who they want to see” the Consul General said.

The fifth Eastern Economic Forum will take place from September 4 to 6 in Vladivostok.
