Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Masdar City Tech Park in the UAE
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Masdar City technology park in the UAE, the press service of the head of state said.
Masdar City combines state-of-the-art technologies with the planning principles of traditional Arab settlements to create a desert community that aims to be carbon neutral and zero waste. The 640-hectare project is a key component of the Masdar Initiative, established by the government of Abu Dhabi to advance the development of renewable energy and clean-technology solutions for a life beyond oil.
The delegation of our country were provided information about the features of the technology park.

A mixed-use, low-rise, high-density development, Masdar City includes the headquarters for the International Renewable Energy Agency and the recently completed Masdar Institute. Strategically located for Abu Dhabi’s transport infrastructure, Masdar is linked to neighboring communities and the international airport by existing road and rail routes.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the activities of a laboratory operating here in the field of solar panel production. It was noted that such innovation centers are important for minimizing the human impact on the environment and strengthening international scientific cooperation.
The head of our state talked with an Uzbek student of Khalifa University, who is conducting a research here. The President noted the importance of introducing the knowledge and experience gained here at home, making a practical contribution to the development of alternative energy in our country.
