Uzbekistan among applicants to buy franchises from Russia's largest housing developer
Russia's largest housing developer PIK intends to provide about 100 franchises over the next 5 years, within which 7-10 million square meters of housing can be built. This was stated by the President and Chairman of the Board of the Group Sergey Gordeev during the conference-call, RIA Nedvijimost reports.
Among the applicants are Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and among the Russian regions are Moscow, Moscow region, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, and the Republic of Dagestan.
PIK Group ranks first among Russian developers in commissioning and volume of current housing construction, it operates in ten regions of Russia. The company’s owner (74.6%) is the president and chairman of the group’s board, Sergei Gordeyev.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the volume of construction work performed in 2018 amounted to 47,260.7 billion soums, the industry's growth rate for the year reached 9.9%.
The main part of the construction work in the past year by type of economic activity was carried out through the construction of design works, residential buildings and non-residential premises. Their share in the total volume of construction work was 78.2%.
