Yakutia Airlines resumes flights to Uzbekistan
Russian airline Yakutia plans to resume flights to Uzbekistan in April. This was announced by the CEO of the airline Vladimir Gorbunov.
On March 25, the Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsia) of the Russian Federation lifted the temporary restriction in effect from November 5, 2018 in the certificate of the JSC Yakutia Airlines regarding the ban on international commercial air transportation.
“JSC Yakutia Airlines eliminated previously detected comments and inconsistencies with the requirements of the aviation legislation (federal aviation regulations). In April, Yakutia will launch international flights,” the company’s website reports.
According to Vladimir Gorbunov, the airline will resume flights as part of an international program to Harbin (China), Seoul (South Korea), Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Tokyo (Japan).
Earlier, Gorbunov proposed to buy six Il-114-100 aircraft with Canadian engines from Uzbekistan. He believes that the acquisition of aircraft will prevent the disruption of the supply of Arctic regions until the appearance of the IL-114 with the Russian engine in 2023.
